Dear Chicago House,
Stashed away in my junk cupboard…and lets face it every house has at least one of these, I have a big box of assorted string. Am I weird that I like making things with string? It is such a versatile item as this round up of fun home decor projects shows.
Monkey Fist String Balls
There is quite a knack to making these but when I mastered it, I went a little berserk. I made them with washing line cord and thick rope. They look great en-mass in a big glass vase. See full instructions and an easy to watch video tutorial.

Up-cycle a Tin Can
Why throw away a perfect good tin can when you can up-cycle it with string and get a quite lovely storage solution for your desk. >>Instructions
Now this piece requires quite a bit of time to make, but it makes such a statement it is well worth it. Full instructions HERE
