How to Make Funky Tile Coasters

Dear Chicago House,

I have to say I like to have tables and side tables within your walls where I can plonk down a cup of steaming tea/coffee or an icy delight and not worry about leaving a dreaded "ring". Some tables really do need a little helping hand, your sibling house in St Louis definitely needs a set of coasters.

So here is a little tutorial on how to make a set of fun coasters from left over tiles.

What you need
Plain tiles
A set of alphabet stickers (scrap booking supplies work well here)
Glass or tile paint
An old rag

What you do
Compose a simple message for your tile with the stickers

Sponge on paint using the rag. I did a number of layers of different color paint to get the effect I wanted. When dry, peel of stickers and whooppee, a funky coaster.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

  6. Greetings! I know this is kind of off topic
but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?

I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had issues with hackers and I'm looking at options for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
